Once upon a time, there was a little white puppy named Snowy. Snowy loved to explore. One day, after a big rain, he saw a giant, shiny puddle. But this was no ordinary puddle!
Snowy took one step into it and—SPLASH!—his paws turned a bright, sunny YELLOW! "Wow!" he yipped, chasing his new yellow paws.
He took another step and—SPLASH!—his tummy turned a sweet, juicy ORANGE! He giggled and wiggled.
A bigger leap and—SPLOSH!—his back turned the color of a pretty summer sky, a lovely BLUE!
Snowy danced and spun in the magic puddle. Now his tail was a shiny GREEN like grass, one ear was a beautiful RED like an apple, and his other ear was a gentle PURPLE like a violet.
He wasn't little white Snowy anymore. He was a rainbow puppy! He ran home to show his friend, a little girl named Lily.
Lily clapped her hands. "Snowy! You are all the colors of the rainbow! You are beautiful!"
Snowy wagged his colorful tail happily. But then, he gave one big, joyful shake! Shake-shake-shake!
Little drops of color flew everywhere, and… he was his soft, cozy white self again. The magic colors weren't on his fur anymore—they were in his heart, and in the happy smile on Lily's face.
